Nandini, a premium cottage nestled atop a serene hillside in village Baburkhola, P.O. Dwarson, at an altitude of about 6,000 ft. above sea level, merely 19 km from Ranikhet and 28 km from Almora, offers breath-taking vistas of the snow-capped Himalayan range in front, and a verdant Pine forest at the back. On a clear day one can enjoy the view of Nanda Devi (the second highest peak in India), Trishul - 1, 2 & 3, Nanda Ghunti, Mrigathuni range, Maiktoli, and Nanda KotGhat peaks from the Cottage. Nandini is a sanctuary in the Kumaon hills for our guests looking for a break from their mundane urban busy life and a chance to connect with nature. This charming Cottage, adorned with handcrafted details, is meticulously designed to act as a ‘home away from home’ and Guests may enjoy the occasional snow fall during peak winters. As you step inside Nandini, you will find the interior welcoming and exuding warmth. Each of the 4 rooms are designed to offer you the privacy you deserve and invite you to relax and unwind. With balconies overlooking the valley and the snow-capped Himalayas in every room, you are ensured of privacy as you sip your morning tea or a drink of your choice. While at the Cottage you can go for long walks in the verdant pine forest behind, or, read a book sitting undisturbed in the balcony (a small collection of books – fiction & non-fiction- is available at the cottage), or better still write one’s own book in the serene surroundings, or, simply “do nothing” but stare at the lovely vista, relax and let go of all worries. Alternatively, if you wish to remain connected with work and/or family and friends, you can attend your office and bond with loved ones, virtually via the internet through a fast hi-tech fibre network of Airtel. This way you get to enjoy best of the both the worlds. Two caretakers are available 24x7 at the Cottage, while a part time cleaner is available during daytime. The Cottage provides meals for the comfortable stay of the guests.
